João Ribeiro began his professional career in 2012, working within the editorial and advertising markets before shifting his focus entirely to personal artwork in 2018. His research investigates isolation and the fragmentation of identity amidst the tension between the organic and the technological. Originally sustantined by the expressiveness of ink and the density of oil painting, his practice expanded into 3D and conceptual art in 2025. In this transition, João draws upon his background in traditional painting to give form to states of suspension, where digital silence and urban memory converge, exploring the persistence of the individual within contexts of metamorphosis and solitude.
